After using "exiftool -AllDates+=1 <somefile>" to adjust dates, the order of the output of 'exiftool <somefile>' has changed from what it was before I modified the dates, so exiftool must be doing something more than just changing the requested dates.  Maybe it's just reordering the tags in the file, but it bothers me that it's doing more than it's been asked to do.  I'm guessing this has come up before, so can someone please point me to an explanation?  I've looked through the FAQs and perused the exiftools site and had no luck.

Thank you,
Roger

"It didn't work" isn't helpful. What was the exact command used and the output.
Read FAQ #3 and use that cmd
Please use the Code button for exiftool output

Please include your OS/Exiftool version/filetype

Thanks for your reply.  In this case I think exiftools is being overzealous in what it's rewriting.  An option to change the dates in place without mucking with anything else would be desirable IMO.  I just located jhead which seems able to do this.
