Color Filter Arrays

A number of fields convey the array patterns that make up the sensor photosites.  I've read a bunch of WikiPedia articles and nevertheless am not feeling confident about how the metadata translates.

I've made some visualizations to show you what I am thinking, attached... Can anyone give me a high five that I am correct, or school me if I'm not?

The metadata is conveyed by the filename, eg "[Blue,Green][Green,Red]" is blue_green_green_red.svg.

I've read through the CFA Pattern spec in EXIF 2.32, and I think what I've done is in line, though arrays can have a different shape than 2x2 and can include white, emerald, etc.  CFA Pattern 2 is another story, need to investigate further.
