Executable Hangs

I've installed the latest executable (11.10) to my windows 10 system.  When I try to start it from a command line, the command is accepted but then just hangs; i.e. no further output.  I've tried redownloading and installing a few more times with the same result.

Does just typing exiftool hang or does it produce the help text?  Did you read the Windows 10 ExifTool EXE hangs or runs very slowly stickied post and try that?

*sigh* I take back my complaint.  After waiting a few seconds I do get the help text, so all is well for now.  I did read that thread but I guess didn't wait long enough.
