Hello!

I extracted the Flexible Spot Positions for different .arw files and they were e.g. "320 220" or "461 161". In the Sony tag documentation it says "(X and Y coordinates of the AF point, valid only when AFAreaMode is Flexible Spot)". I made sure to use the flexibel spot...

My question is, are these numbers somehow scaled? If not, if I understand correctly, it would mean that all focus positions are somewhere in the top left corner, which was not the case when I took the images. How do the AF point coordinates transform into image coordinates?

Thanks!

Phil Harvey

Typically these are scaled.  Other makes (Canon, Nikon) store the AF image size, but I don't see this in the Sony images.  It probably is there somewhere though, but not yet decoded.
