Is there a command to convert Tiff images to jpg?

Not with exiftool.  It only manipulates metadata.

Using ImageMagick, the basic command would be
magick file.tiff file.jpg

Beyond that, there are lots of programs out there to do so.  On Windows, Irfanview can quickly do it in batch.
"It didn't work" isn't helpful. What was the exact command used and the output.
Read FAQ #3 and use that cmd
