-fast for video/audio files ?

Hi,

it would make even more sense than for images.
Currently i'm just giving the first couple of hundred kilobytes to exiftool,
but a -fast option is obviously safer.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I'll think about this when I get a chance.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

Just closing this topic.  Unfortunately metadata is stored at the end of many videos, so a -fast option here wouldn't have any effect.
