Hi Thyphoon,

Thank you very much for the links.  Most of these examples contain more functionality and complexity than I am capable of taking advantage of.  I did, however get a response which was simple and got me the "just enough" answer I needed on the PureBasic site which helped me understand how to get the same communication to work when programmatically accessing Exiftool in the MacOS world that I get when running under Windows.
