Problem writing/Reading german special characters

Hello,

we cannot read/write special german characters to UserComment tag.
Everything else is working fine.

Hi Mike,

See FAQs number 10 and 18.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

I ended up successfully with:
exiftool -charset ExifTool=Latin2 ...
