Bug with Sony A7R IV: LensFormat reports "Full-frame" instead of APS-C

Thanks for your work, Phil!

While scanning the EXIF date of my Sony photo files again after a few years, I noticed this bug with Sony A7R IV RAW files which were shot in APS-C mode (crop mode on):

$$info{'LensFormat'} should report "APS-C" but falsely indicates "Full-frame".

There is a new Sony EXIF tag "APS-C Size Capture" in the Sony A7R IV ARW file, which is either set to "On" or "Off". In this particular file case, "APS-C Size Capture" is correctly set to On. I guess that ExifTool is still relying on older tags to identify if APS-C mode is active.

Is there a way to programmatically access the Sony tag "APS-C Size Capture" via ExifTool from Perl, and how?

To clarify, can you provide sample files.  Exiftool output doesn't show the internal setup and formatting of the file that is needed to make changes to exiftool.

I can upload the fullframe JPG if there is a mechanism to do so. Can't find it in the Quick Reply section. The other file is RAW and too large. Even the JPG file is 29.7MB. Reducing file size via Photoshop is not possible since it stupidly deletes most of Sony's EXIF data.

Taking a picture in APS-C mode doesn't change the lens:
both lenses used (Loxia 25mm F2.4 and Sony 70-200mm F2.8 GM II) are full-frame lenses, so "Lens Format = Full-frame" is correct.
APS-CSizeCapture is the tag to use:
Exiftool.exe -APS-CSizeCapture file.jpg
will give you the value of this tag.
