Hi,

We are using Exiftool version 12.96 and are having problems with some InDesign CC24 files in that Exiftool is stating that they are corrupt or are an unsupported InDesign version.

We can open the files in InDesign ok and if we re-save them then Exiftool doesn't report the problem anymore, but we don't know what is causing the error initially.

I've attached the output of exiftool -s for reference.

Hope you can help.

Thanks

Can you supply a sample? There's nothing that can be done with simple exiftool output to see the actual interior structure of the file.
* Did you read FAQ #3 and use the command listed there?
* Please use the Code button for exiftool code/output.

* Please include your OS, Exiftool version, and type of file you're processing (MP4, JPG, etc).

There looks to be some garbage at the end of this file after the last object trailer (the object trailer for the XMP block ends at 0x42ff83, and the only valid data after this would be an object header or null padding, but instead there seems to be part of the XMP data).  The dump below shows from the end of the XMP packet (which ends at 0x42ff63 and is followed by the 32-byte object trailer) to the end of the file.

I believe this is a problem with whatever software wrote this file.
