When I geotag my pictures all works fine with my pocketcam from
Olympus, but when I use my DSLR Canon EOS 400D it doesnot work. Sad
Used Programm is Geosetter.

Please take a look on the Screenshot // To my shame I have to admit that I was not able to post the error message on this board. Sad

Hi Stefan,

I think all the special characters in your command line were the
reason you couldn't post it in this forum.

Are you sure it didn't work?  ExifTool issued a warning, which is
likely because the image has been corrupted by editing with another
utility that doesn't understand the canon makernotes, but since
you used the -m option, exiftool ignored the minor
errors that would have resulted, and reported them as a warning.

Did exiftool say "0 image files updated"?  If so, then it really didn't
modify the file.  In this case, it would be useful to have the original
image and the exact command used.  If you could post a link to
the original and a text file containing the command, then I can
reproduce this myself and tell you exactly what is happening.

In the worst case, you may have to rebuild the meta information
in the file to fix the formatting errors that could be causing the
problem for exiftool.  I'll let you know how to do this if necessary
after I see exactly what the problem is.
