If you send me the image I can tell for sure (my email is philharvey66 at gmail.com), but this is likely just because it contains maker notes that are not recognized, hence exiftool can not guarantee that they are rewritten without corruption.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).
