Not sure if file is too corrupt

I am brand new to the ExifTool.  I accidentally deleted images off of my SSD before my backup program got them, so I used PhotoRec.  PhotoRec found the files I was looking for with the correct size and date stamps, but I'm not sure if Trim or anything else corrupted them.  I am able to see Exif data with ExifTool just fine, but it won't extract any previews.  It shows an "Invalid AFMicroAdj data" warning and the jpg it extracts is 0kb.  I'm not a pro in file types, so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction if there is any legitimate photo data in the files.

A sample file can be downloaded here:

Hi Stephen,

Most of the EXIF file header is intact, but after that the file is all zeros, including the data and JPEG previews.  So this image is not recoverable.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

Bummer, I appreciate the help though.
