PDF keywords field : as is content ?

Hi group,
I use exiftool to extrcat metadata from pdf files.
I note that exiftool when extract the keywords field put a star (using ExifToolGUI)
for each space. If I save the metadata in a text file a have ",space" for each chain.
Exemple : if I have "MEDECINE GENERALE" in keywords field,
ExifToolGUI show "MEDECINE*GENERALE". When I save metadata in a txt file
I have "MEDECINE, GENERALE".
Normally I attend "MEDECINE GENERALE".
This appen only whit keywords field not whit the others pdf standard fields.
Any suggestions ?
