Phil,

Is it possible to extract data from a PDF into Excel format using exifTool?
If so, does that include characters (A-Z and 0-9) from within images in the PDF?

Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris,

There are various techniques for getting information into Excel.  See FAQ number 12 for details.

ExifTool only extracts metadata from the main PDF document, not from embedded images.

Note: The ability to extract metadata from embedded images in PDF documents was added to ExifTool 9.21.
