Error in Lens ID

My Sigma 17-70 is reported in the Lens ID metadata field as: "Unknown (A0 48 2A 5C 24 30 4B 0E)". All other lens information seems correct, but the composite "Lens ID" tag is not correctly computed. See attached file for example.

Thanks, but what is the exact model name of this lens?  Sigma makes a number of different 17-70mm lenses.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

The full name should be: "17-70mm F2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM" (According to Sigma: http://www.sigmaphoto.com/product/17-70mm-f28-4-dc-macro-os-hsm-0). It is the second generation of the 17-70, the first with OS and the previous generation in relation to the current "Contemporary" family lens.
