I thought the installation would be easy so did not read the instructions. My mistake.
So now I have to uninstall it. I followed the Windows directions to uninstall, as far as dragging the exiftool to the recycle bin, but I could not find the "par-USER" file in "C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Temp" for Windows 7.

Please advise further steps to uninstall.

Did you change "USER" to the name of the user that ran exiftool?  It is not strictly necessary to delete the temporary files unless they are causing problems somehow.

Are you saying that it's enough to delete the recycle bin? Is there any other way to delete what's left?
Some programs claim to find bits of old programs that were not completely removed.

If you found the temporary folder but there were no "par-" folders inside, then it perhaps you never ran exiftool to unpack these.  This folder is created the first time exiftool is run.
