can exiftool save output to another folder/filename ?

when modyfiying exif, is it possible to specify an output folder/filename, leaving the original untouched ?

Yes, take a look at the -o option.  There's an example there as well.
* Did you read FAQ #3 and use the command listed there?
* Please use the Code button for exiftool code/output.
 
* Please include your OS, Exiftool version, and type of file you're processing (MP4, JPG, etc).
