Hello,
I just run the exiftool on some random picture from flickr but all the data that is said to be present according to flickr metadata reader, arent seen by exiftool.
Sorry the image is quite ugly but i just ran into https://www.flickr.com/photos/agatabart/4287610319/sizes/l/

Does it mean that there might be more metadata that are present but cannot be read by exiftool. Does it also mean that when using -all= tag this data isnt erased either.

Thank you

Hayo Baan

I very much doubt there is any metadata in the file if exiftool doesn't see it.

I looked at the image you linked to but as "The owner has disabled downloading of their photos" I can not have a look at it (unless you are the author, how did you download it?). Please use an example file that we can download.

Flickr uses Exiftool to parse metadata, so if Flickr shows it, exiftool will as well.
"It didn't work" isn't helpful. What was the exact command used and the output.
Read FAQ #3 and use that cmd
Please use the Code button for exiftool output

Please include your OS/Exiftool version/filetype

There are browser extensions and apps that can download images even in cases like this.

Oh, I know that, but was asking as I didn't think this was the case (and if you are, you are likely doing something venturing towards the illegal...)
