So im just trying to clean out the data of videos,
I installed the software but since it has no interface I dont know how to use it :(

I cant find any youtube videos on it either, there all for windows not mac

can anyone help? :)

Phil Harvey

I don't think ExifTool will do what you want.

You say "clean out the data of videos", but ExifTool has only limited writing ability in video files (see the second paragraph here).

Oh ok! thanks for the reply Phil
would I be able to at least see what data is in the video files?

also in that case can you point me to how to unistall this from my mac?

appreciate it :)

Phil Harvey

To see what data is there:

1. open the Terminal app (from the /Applications/Utilites folder)

2. type "exiftool" then  press SPACE in the Terminal window

3. drag and drop the file onto the Terminal Window

4. press RETURN in the terminal window

To uninstall, follow the Mac uninstall instructions here.
