Warning: [minor] Error reading PreviewImage from file

Hello,

I rotate some pictures with jhead or nconvert according the exif orientation.
I'm now using a new camera (Olympus E-M10 Mark III) and I have a minor warning with those rotated pictures when I had metadata : Warning: [minor] Error reading PreviewImage from file
I didn't had this message with my previous camera.

If I need to add again metadata, this error message does not appear anymore.

Is it possible to correct this minor error ?

It is very easy to lose the PreviewImage when editing the image with any software.  But typically, editing the image invalidates the preview anyway (in this case it would show up with the wrong orientation), so it really isn't a big deal if it is lost.
