Is the POPM tag supported at all?

I'm trying to probe mp3 files looking for rating information but not having any luck.  It looks like the POPM (Popularimeter) tag is what is most frequently used to store this info, but I'm not able to find any files where this tag returns a value.

The tag is listed in the ID3 v2_4 section of the documentation, so I assume this is supported for reading, but I wanted to check that this was the case.

Are there other tags that are known to be used to store rating info?

In ID3, I would think that it would be the Popularimeter tag that should contain this information, but I can't see it in any of the samples I have here either.
