Hi all,

looking for a place to store processing flags for my workflow, I found photoshop:SupplementalCategories

I wonder who might use photoshop:SupplementalCategories, and how long it will be around?

Any pitfalls I should consider?

he only place I've seen it really used is in stock and news images.  So unless you're planning on selling an image through a such an agency, it's probably pretty safe to use.
* Did you read FAQ #3 and use the command listed there?
* Please use the Code button for exiftool code/output.

* Please include your OS, Exiftool version, and type of file you're processing (MP4, JPG, etc).

that's interesting, can you name such agencies requesting "SupplementalCategories"?

The agency for aerial images I'm working with doesn't use it and I have not yet any other experience.

But I don't want to get in trouble if I add a distribution method.

Sorry, I don't have further information.  I've just seen that tag filled in stuff I've collected off of the web.  Mostly older stuff I've collected, earlier than 2005.  I'm not sure how much it's used these days.
