Hello.

I have
20170209_201601.CR2
and
20170209_201601_1.jpg
20170209_201601_2.jpg
20170209_201601_3.jpg

How do I rename these existing multiple jpg variants according to the tags of the parent 20170209_201601.CR2?

In other words, I need to rename all files with first part of the name that match of name of the parent CR2.

Thanks.

You can use -tagsfromfile %d%-.2f.CR2 to copy tags from a CR2 file with the same name but with the last 2 characters removed.
...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

Thanks.
I made a bad (simple) example.
There can be anything at the end of the jpg name.

and such example
