Many thanks to Phil and all contributors for a great tool.
I prepackaged macOS and Windows version with my Lightroom plugin, added a couple of lines of Lua code and it works like a dream!

It's basically yet another iOS/Android "Film photo Exif" app (my hobby project) if anyone interested http://leaf500.com/lightroom-plugin/

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).
