Hi,

we get an error message when trying to write comment:

exiftool -overwrite_original -UserComment=Test D:\1.jpg

Warning: [minor] Adjusted MakerNotes base by -11 - D:/1.jpg
Error: [minor] IFD1 pointer references previous InteropIFD directory - D:/1.jpg
    0 image files updated
1 files weren't updated due to errors

Thanks for assistance

Cheers Mike

Hi Mike,

Adding the -m option will ignore the minor warning and downgrade the minor error, allowing the file to be written.

The Warning is common for images that have been edited by some software.

The Error is more significant, and indicates either a corrupted file or buggy software that wrote it.

Hi Phil,

thanks for your fast answer.

I have used "exiftool -m" and everything is working fine now.
