I'm currently using exiftool 12.40 and am unable to edit metadata on images that based on the DNG 1.6 specification. I don't believe exiftool supports this DNG specification as of yet, which is why i believe I am experiencing the problem I am.

To my knowledge only images taken with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and S22 Ultra use this specification when taking photos using the Expert RAW, however I suspect many more cameras will start using this specification in the near future.

I'm happy to share images privately to solve this issue.

Thanks in advance.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

They do mention they're using 12.40 but are unable to edit the files.

KuchKuch, what is your exact command and the exact output for a file which doesn't work?
"It didn't work" isn't helpful. What was the exact command used and the output.
Read FAQ #3 and use that cmd
Please use the Code button for exiftool output

Please include your OS/Exiftool version/filetype

Apologies for the late response.

I'm using the command: exiftool(-Artist=' X' -Copyright='Copyright 2022 X, all rights reserved.' -CopyrightNotice='Copyright 2022 X, all rights reserved.')

Add a -k in the brackets so you can see the output before the window disappears, and tell us what you see.

Thanks Phil.

Not sure what I've done, but I seem to have got it working.
