Trying to copy Creation Date (WMV) to Date/Time Original (MKV)

I'm trying to discover how to transfer the Creation date of a WMV file to the "Date/Time Original" field on an MKV equivalent file. I thougth it would work with this command, but it does nothing. I've attached an image with the timestamps, I wonder what I'm doing wrong :/

..\pruebas\exiftool.exe -tagsfromfile '.\Alejandra 1.wmv' "-DateTimeOriginal<CreationDate" '.\Alejandra 1.mkv'

See Supported File Types table.  Exiftool does not have the ability to write MKV files.

Some programs you can look into are ffmpeg, MKVToolNix, and MP3Tag, the latter of which can actually edit mp4 and mkv files according to the website.  I haven't actually taken time to test any of these except ffmpeg, which is a bit difficult to work with.
