Hi Phil,

I'm ExifTool maintainer on FreeBSD.

Due to a vulnerability found in ExifTool versions < 12.38 (CVE-2022-23935), do you consider it safe to set the Production Release to at least version 12.38?

Thanks for you attention

Hi Rafael,

The production release is fairly arbitrary, so I don't see a problem doing this.

Thanks, Phil.

ExifTools was updated today in FreeBSD Ports.
To build and install the port:
$ cd /usr/ports/graphics/p5-Image-ExifTool/ && make install clean

This release will be updated in OpenBSD and NetBSD soon.

Thanks for your attention,
