TagsFromFile Question

I am trying to fix the timestamps on a set of DNG images and retrieve missing Exif fields from an ORF file.  If I fix the DNG timestamp first then it is overwritten when I copy the Exif from the ORF file.  If I copy the Exif first then ExifTool can no longer fix the timestamps because ExifTool doesn't like the Olympus time format.

Does anyone know if it is possible to copy all of the metadata between 2 files, except the timestamps, using TagsFromFile?

You can exclude tags from being copied by specifying --TAG after -tagsfromfile.  I think this may allow you to do what you want.

I was actually being stupid; I was trying to set DateDigitized instead of DateTimeOriginal.  I can get away with:

"exiftool -TagsFromFile ..."

followed by

"exiftool -DateTimeOriginal ..."

followed by

"exiftool -DateTimeOriginal ..."
