Hi all,

Is it possible to use an even more precise database than geolocatio1000 or geolocation500?
I know database will be more larger but can I download a larger database and use it? How to?

Thanks.

I asked the same question and Phil linked to the comment section of the geolocate code which details the format for the database.
* Did you read FAQ #3 and use the command listed there?
* Please use the Code button for exiftool code/output.

* Please include your OS, Exiftool version, and type of file you're processing (MP4, JPG, etc).

I'm not sure what you mean by precise?  ExifTool 12.79 (just released) improves precision in GPS coordinates to about 20 metres, and precision in population numbers to 2 significant figures, but increases the minimum city population to 2000 (although the 500-population database is available from the Geolocation page.
