Hi Folks Newbie question:

In the metadata of a .Mov file captured on an iPhone there is a Key section which contains GPS Coordinates, what is being represented by the tag 'GPSCoordinates -und -DK' compared to 'GPSCoordinates'?

Some metadata formats allow tags to be stored using alternate languages.  I think you are talking about QuickTime tags here.  Read the 4th paragraph of the QuickTime tags documentation for more information.

Appreciate the response.  The way i have interpreted the paragraph, und=the default language of the device creating the file DK=the country code of the default language.

I also understand that the tag is only present if the location has changed/updated from when it was originally recorded, would that be correct?

Phil Harvey

Yes.  The language is undefined, and the country is DK.

Some devices may use a language code in an original recording.
