Hi,

I've had a look at strftime without finding an obvious answer to this question.  I'm trying to format SubSecDateTimeOriginal but I cannot find a formatting string to pull out the subseconds along with the rest of the information.

exiftool -SubSecDateTimeOriginal  -d "%Y%m%d%H%M%S%?https://exiftool.org/forum/Smileys/default/huh.gif" alt="Huh" border="0" />" 1.cr2

I can obviously just glue the output of -SubSecDateTime to the end of the string but if there is a formatting character that I am missing, I would welcome a pointer.

Thanks in advance,

Neil...

Hi Neil,

The Sub seconds is a separate tag and is not included in the image as a combination string with date/time. I use this info with a Nikon D1x and string concatenation is the only way.

Cheers

Hi Neil,

Unfortunately the strftime library routine used to format the date/time values
doesn't accept sub-second values, so this information is essentially stripped
from the SubSecDateTime value when used with the -d option.

I can't think of an easy way around this other than doing a bit of scripting
(or fancy command processing using awk) to generate the string you want.
