I am intrigued by the following values (Exiftoolversion 7.18):
FocalPlaneXSize: 1146.89 mm
FocalPlaneYSize: 182.47 mm

Is this related to the sensorsize (22.2 x 14.8 mm)?

Normally the FocalPlaneX/YSize is the same as the sensor size,
but it appears that Canon has made a change in some of the
recent models that makes this information invalid.  I checked my samples,
and as you point out the FocalPlaneSize tags appear wrong for the 40D,
450D (Kiss X2) and 1DsMkIII (although they seem OK forthe 400D).  It looks like I
have to do some work in this area to see what Canon has changed.

Thanks Phil!

And (of course!) you are right about the 400D.

BTW: Thanks for a wonderful program that gives so much insight!
