Hi, what's the best way to test for a completely missing exif tag value from the command line? I'm trying to build a command which will copy all the exif data from a source file if key items are missing. I've tried a couple of variants of the following but without success:

exiftool -k -if "$exifversion !=~//" -tagsfromfile SourceFile -exif:all JPGFile

Thanks
Andrew

hi Andrew,

Try -if "not defined $exifversion"
