Hey,

I'm using exiftool version 7.30 on Ubuntu 8.10 x86_64 with perl 5.10.0

I have a bunch of Photos, whose dates were set falsely by the camera to something in 2043, so I tried to set them to the correct date, but I just get an error:

Code:
$  exiftool -r -alldates-=351240 -if '$CreateDate ge "2043:01:01"' .
Warning: Day too big - 26904 > 24853
Cannot handle date (17, 00, 14, 30, 7, 2043) when shifting ModifyDate - ./5 Dienstag/Dienstag 082.jpg

is there any workaround or do the newer versions fix this issue?

thanks for this great tool https://exiftool.org/forum/Smileys/default/smiley.gif" alt="Smiley" border="0" />

I just realized that it will always process the first match correctly, and then skips the others with the above warning, so if I have 50 matches and run the command 50 times, it will process each file.

This seems to be a bug to me.

This is a limitation of the POSIX library function that I use
for the date/time manipulations.  Sorry, but there is no
easy way around this.

This problem occurs for dates beyond the POSIX limit of 2037.
