Hello Phil,

I want to delete the Exifs of a Photoshop output with the "keywords" from Photoshop untouched.

I tried the following codes:

exiftool -all= --keywords T*.JPG
exiftool -all= --IPTC:keywords T*.JPG
exiftool -all= --IPTC:ALL T*.JPG
exiftool -all= -x IPTC:ALL T*.JPG

All versions above clear all the Exif data including the keywords.
When I inspect the Exif-Structure ist loosk as:

exiftool -G -FileName -ColorSpace -keywords Kaiserstuhl-081.jpg
[File]   File Name   : Kaiserstuhl-081.jpg
[XMP]   Color Space   : Uncalibrated
[IPTC]   Keywords   : Reisen, Makro, Blumen, Kurzreisen

What's my fault? Do I misunderstand the syntax in your exiftool Application Documentation?

Yours
Manfred

There have been a rash of questions like this rrecntly. Perhaps
I should add this to the FAQ.  You can't exclude a single
tag from a group delete.  Instead, you must copy if back
again after deleting the group.  ie)

Code:
exiftool -all= -tagsfromfile @ -keywords T*.JPG

This is mentioned in the application documentation, but
somehow people are missing it.

That works as expected.
Sorry, did not find this point in your documentation :-(

Thank you

You write"You can't exclude a single tag from a group delete." Ok - I just looked at your documentation. There is an example "-all= --exif:all". Last days I tried "exiftool -all= --IPTC:ALL T*.JPG" and this doesn't work. All Data in Exif were deleted.
