Hi

I'm a newbie to Exiftool and I'm using version 7.95 on Windows XP.

Calling exiftool on the command line with the options -a -b -xmp I get the expected XMP data for most of my images. I do however see that I get some strange results for some jpg images. In these cases the xmp is printed twice, and with malformed xml the first time. I have verified that this is not the case when I view these images with other tools. So is there a bug in exiftool or are the options I'm using not supposed to be used like I do?

I'm quite sure this isn't an exiftool bug.

I'd have to see a sample image to be sure, but my guess is that
either there are 2 different versions of XMP stored in the image,
or that the JPEG image contains extended XMP.  The command
you are using just does a binary dump of all XMP segments that
it finds.  If you send me a sample, I will take a look.  My email

I don't understand the malformed XML though, because all
extended XMP segments should contain good XML.
