Movie metadata writeback or sidecar?
« on: May 21, 2010, 07:08:23 AM »
Hi, I believe its possible to put xmp into metadata nodes in quicktime, and that would be totally handy for our uses,
altho, alternative, if there's a way to generate sidecar files (may be, need to scour docs more) that might be "Good enough".

We use this lib for our web deployment of collection assets, and it's wonderful!

QuickTime does support XMP (see the ExifTool QuickTime tag names documentation), but ExifTool does not yet support writing any video formats.

For sidecar files this documentation may be useful.
