Hi,

Just a FYI / FWIW
A Usenet Newgroup aquaintance resently purchased:
http://www.sigmaphoto.com/shop/120-300mm-f28-ex-dg-apo-hsm-sigma
for his Nikon D300

I noticed it didn't match the data in your "Nikon.pm" file so as to insert the Lensname
(Nikon.pm)
    '7A 54 6E 8E 24 24 4B 02' => 'Sigma APO 120-300mm F2.8 EX DG HSM',

Exiftool_GUI, PhotoME, and ExifTool list it as unknown but shows:
   Unknown (FA 54 6E 83 24 24 02)

(ExifTool -h -w .html filename) [something like that]  does question if it is said lens.

Anyway, just a diff of the first HEX value - FA vs 7A
and I thought I'd let you know.

Thanks for this report.  If you have a sample image available I would like to have one.  You can post it here or email it to philharvey66 at gmail.com.  TIA if you can do this.

Hi Phil,
Yes, just a JPEG though.  filename "AUG_6049 DS1024 NX2-60.jpg"  (211KB)
I have yet another somewhere ..though, when that was posted it was said that it was used w/ a Sigma APO 1.4x TC.
Originally, I'd thought that somehow it, in itself was causing the HEX value change.  Then, he posted (for me) one w/o the TC.
It had the same HEX values as I've posted.  Soo... me thinks its an updated model of said lens.

Thanks for the sample, I'll add this to the next release.

You're welcome and thanks ..and just a BTW.. it seems there was no problem in doing this to my "Nikon.pm"  I copied the already listed line (w/the "7A") for the lens.  Inserted / Pasted it in just below that entry & changed that first value to "FA".

Hmm, I think I did the same for PhotoME's "Nikon.xml"  ...can't remember, now, if that worked.  ..Just checked it again YEAP! it works.
