Canon 1D RAW support

Hi, I have problem with writing Canon 1D RAW photo. Is it really not supported?

I like to change date time original for example like this:
exiftool -dateTimeOriginal="2005:10:23 20:06:34.33-05:00" image.TIF

Output:

Code Select Expand

Error: Can not currently write Canon 1D RAW images - 650F3273.TIF
    0 image files updated
    1 files weren't updated due to errors

It's first time, when I have problem with the best exiftool. Thanks for help.

Hi Jan,

Information will be lost if you rewrite a Canon 1D "TIF" as a regular TIFF image.  I haven't yet added write support for this special type of image, so for now you get this warning intstead.  If you want I will look into adding write support for 1D raw images.

Hi Phil,

thank you so much for your message. If it is possible to add support for Canon 1D it would be perfect. Now I found identical problem with X3F format  (raw for SIGMA DP2).

I'll add these to the list, but I won't guarantee anything.  Adding write support for some image types is a lot of work.
