why exiftool couldn't read XMP info from .indd file? It works in my Mac

why exiftool couldn't read XMP info from .indd file at linux server? 

It works at my Mac development machine , and the version I used is 8.3.2 .

anyone experienced the similar thing ?

I would guess because you are using an old version of exiftool on the linux system.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).
