How to see the included Pictures?

Hi!

I imported a Picture in a "AVI" file. But where do i saw it?

Background:

In Music files there is also a Picture in the file. But therefor i could not see it also.

please help!

Hi,

To be able to see images embedded into music files (i.e. mp3), you need appropriate music player (i.e. Winamp) or (if you're in Windows) you should get the right "codec" -but I don't know if such codec exist.
I think all above applies for avi files too.
Maybe some other member can help on that...

You can use exiftool to extract the ThumbnailImage from some AVI files if this helps.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

Well thats true, but I like to see it in the GUI. Thats way it calls GUI.

But I did not find the Picturenames and details of the picture.

Hi,

GUI can only show images from files which are natively supported by Windows or if there's appropriate Windows codec installed.
Basic idea behind GUI was, to provide User Interface for modifying image (photo) metadata for those, who aren't that familiar with Exiftool command-line workflow. In short: it was made for (amateur) photographers in first place, which need to edit some of most often used tags.
