Finally Adobe has fixed the bug which caused problems when reading edited ARW images.  This bug is fixed in the recent release of Camera Raw 6.3, LR 3.3 and DNG Converter 6.3.

Edit:  FYI, I reported this bug to Adobe more than 11 months ago.
...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).
