Hi,

I recently bought the Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 for Pentax, and noticed that it gets reported by ExifTool as a "Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG Macro HSM II" for shots with focal lengths between 70 and 150mm, and as a "Sigma Lens (8 255)" for focal lengths below 70mm.

Can you please add the "Sigma 50-150mm F2.8 II APO EX DC HSM" entry a "8 255.3" in Pentax.pm ?  Then I will be able to set UserDefined::Lenses to use that name ;)

Thanks!

Phil Harvey

Excellent!  Thanks for the new Pentax LensType!

This will appear in ExifTool 8.43 when it is released.

Could you please add a value of "8 0" for the same lens? I have exactly the same Sigma 50-150 as described but this is what I get in DNGs written by Pentax K5-II:
$ exiftool -u IMGP2090.DNG | grep Lens
Lens Type                       : Unknown (8 0)
Lens Kind                       : 0x28
Lens ID                         : Unknown (8 0)

Thanks!

Thanks!

This update will be included in ExifTool 9.60
