I'm using the following command for Exiftool:

$ exiftool -geotag $gpx "-xmp:geotime<createdate" .
but it never finds any corresponding match with images whereas I have with digikam

With Digikam, I allow the default 30 drift between image and gpx.
Exiftool has GeoMax*Secs at 1800 (bigger) but I'm not sure that it is the right setting.

Thanks

Note: can you input multiple gpx files at once in exiftool ?

Add the -v2 option and post the exiftool output here so I can see what is happening.

From the -geotag documentation:

    Multiple -geotag options may be used to concatinate GPS track log
    data.  Also, a single -geotag option may be used to load multiple
    track log files by using wildcards in the TRKFILE name, but note
    that in this case TRKFILE must be quoted on most systems (with the
    notable exception of Windows) to prevent filename expansion.  For
    example:

        exiftool -geotag "TRACKDIR/*.log" IMAGEDIR

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).
