Hi.
I'm struggling and need some help with how to write an args file to extract the thumbnail image size for foo.jpg & bar.jpg.

Thanks / Jonas

Hi Jonas,

You can't pipe the exiftool output using an args file, so you must extract the thumbnail to a file to get the dimensions:

-thumbnailimage
-b
-w
thumb/%f.jpg
-execute
-imagesize
-srcfile
thumb/%f.jpg

with this command:

exiftool -@ a.args -common_args foo.jpg bar.jpg

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).
