m2ts files

Hi,

I ran into a problem on m2ts files. The exiftool can extract the xmp data from the files with the tagsfrom file option. But when I try to write the xmp file back into the m2ts file. I get an error stating that m2ts files are not supported. Why - m2ts files are standard avchd files?

Hi Kurt,

For one, M2TS (AVCHD) files do not support XMP.

As well, ExifTool does not yet support writing any video files.
