Hi,

I have this problem: I modified a jpeg photo using Paint, drawing a square at the center of it. But now I want the old pic back and I don't know what to do. I noticed that the thumbnail preview of the pic is exactly the old pic with no square.
I tried to use ExifTool:

exiftool.exe -b ThumbnailImage image.jpeg > image1.jpeg

and now I have the image1.jpeg, which is my old unmodified photo, but with a lower resolution. So what I ask is how can I have the old image with the same resolution?

Thanks

Phil Harvey

I'm afraid the only way to do this is to go to a backup of the file.
