Hi Phil,

I have seen following in your 'Pentax.pm':

--------------------------------------------
0x03ff => [ #PH
...
Name => 'TempInfoK5',
...
  Name => 'UnknownInfo',
--------------------------------------------

This isn't correct. Maybe unknown but definitly no special K-5 TempInfo

This Tag is present since *ist-series!

For complete range of 6MP Cams (*ist, K100D/110D/100D-super) it is 16xShort in length

For 10MP Cam  Generation this Tag got bigger and changed structure.

(32xUNDEF) K10D
(32xUNDEF) the same 32xUNDEF but  followed by 3600xUNDEF's  in K200D/Km/K2000

For K20D it changed once more in size & structure...
(256xUNDEF) and like in K200D/Km/K2000  followed by 2944xUNDEF's

And then it changed from K7 on to all 'PEF-Cams'
256xUNDEF identical to K20D  but without the crazy additional stuff anymore.

For all PEF-supporting Cams it keeps constant since K7 up to now!
( Kx/Kr/K5/645D/K5-II/K5-IIs)

The DNGonly-Cams have different size and structure (K-01/K-30/ Q / MX-1 / Q10??)
768xUNDEF  for K-01/K-30  ... for compacts I don't know

At least for PEF-Cams (>6MP) this Tag is related to in-camera jpg-producing.
(BlackOffsets(?) ... Contrast(?) ...
but definitly:  D50 Media-White ...target Gamma ~2.40 ... target-bps 8Bit

There is _nothing_ special related to K-5 .

Greetings
Klaus

Hi Klaus,

Thanks for the feedback.  It is great that you are taking an interest in this.

For all models except the K-5, the 0x03ff data is decoded as "UnknownInfo" because no information has yet been decoded for these models.  For the K-5 I have decoded some temperature information, so for this camera I have named the tag "TempInfoK5", but this name may change as more is learned about this data (from my comments in Pentax.pm, it looks like there may also be black point information in there).  The names of the "SubDirectory" tags are never actually used in the ExifTool user interface, so changing these doesn't impact users.
